Generational wealth is important because you have more freedom to think and live the life you want when you don’t have to worry about paying your bills or whether you can afford to quit a job that doesn’t fulfill you. Why, then, should you be concerned with passing on wealth to the following generation?
Many people have had the experience of feeling compelled to do something or work a job in order to make money. Of course, building generational wealth does not mean you stop your kids from ever experiencing hardships in life. But many parents want to give their children more options in life.

In this episode, we meet our guest, Rashunda Rene, Founder of TedxInglewood, Our Culture Hub, and Innovative Entrepreneurs Hub
In 2016, Rashunda became the CEO of The Innovative Entrepreneurs Hub, a Los Angeles-based hybrid company that provides shared workspace and business development services for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
The Innovative Entrepreneurs Hub provides a wide range of services from business formation, branding, marketing, bookkeeping, business credit building, and business funding. In the summer of 2022, Rashunda founded Our Culture Hub, an Inglewood-based curated retailer that features more than 30 Black-owned brands under one roof. Our Culture Hub brings together a unique collection of fashion, lifestyle, home, and beauty products from a variety of African American entrepreneurs. This curated retail store is a place for business owners to see their dreams come true, a place to give their products a home, and a place to provide a stepping stone to the next level.
Rashunda has been on the organizing team of TEDxSouthCentral, formally TEDxCrenshaw, since 2015.
In 2022, Rashunda received the license to host TEDxInglewood, which will have its inaugural conference in August 2023. Loving them, building them, cultivating them—celebrating Black excellence TED Talks are fantastic. What better way to shake up your mojo and get a little inspired? We're all about our community, and in this week's episode, we explore TEDxInglewood. TEDxInglewood: The independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature local voices and TEDx talks under the theme “Evolution."
The theme ‘’Evolution” challenges us to question the old assumptions, stimulates us to explore new possibilities, and encourages us to make positive and impactful decisions that affect our lives and the future of our community. “Evolution” is a process in which things develop towards greater perfection and complexity.” Six captivating speakers are sharing their talks that will challenge preconceived ideas, trigger discussions, and offer new perspectives to spark our imagination.

In this episode, we will discuss The Equity In Infrastructure in anticipation of the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and to advance President Biden’s Justice40 Initiative and his executive order 13985 on Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities, pledging to increase by 2026 the share of federal contracts that go to small and disadvantaged businesses.

The Equity in Infrastructure Pledge Starting from the baseline of their current actions and initiatives, by December 2025, Pledge signers will work to increase the number, size and percentage of Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) growing to prime contractors, participating in joint ventures or as equity participants.
They will work toward this effort by: Increasing the number, size and proportion of contracting opportunities going to HUBs; Increasing the number, size and proportion of contracting opportunities going to HUBs as prime contractors; Streamlining the administration of contracting with HUBs to centralize certification, improve payment time, and standardize transparent data collection; Increasing the amount and type of appropriate financing available to HUBs aiming to meet infrastructure contracts by working with private and public partners; and Expanding the number of signatories to this Pledge.

"African Americans Who Changed The Automotive Industry Past and Present" Today's Guest - is Thomas "TJ" Lofton, Celebrity Car Builder, Public Speaker, and Author. As a native of Compton, California, from the age of 9, TJ acquired his business acumen from key local business leaders.
After graduating from Centennial High School (Compton, California), he opened his first brick-and-mortar business, Express Gold Plating. It would become the first of many very successful businesses, including Compton Wire Wheels and Molded Suspension.
